Mechanobiology Journal is a peer-reviewed, science-based journal focussing on all aspects of the regulation of biological systems by external forces. Our aims are broad and incorporate all forms of scientific study in the field of animal, plant and microbial mechanobiology. We are particularly keen on basic science research, cell and organ culture studies, and in vivo studies encompassing the subject.
Our scope includes:
- Mechanical perturbation
- Mechanosensing
- Mechanotransduction
- Cell-matrix interactions
- Mechanotransduction pathways
- Regulation of development/growth and remodelling
- Mechanotherapy
- Novel techniques
The journal is particularly pleased to receive submissions of work, which are both early stage and innovative where aspects of normal growth, development and remodelling are considered. Submissions related to aspects of disease and therapy are also particularly welcome. We are happy to receive original articles as well as short reviews and commentaries in these categories especially those with a focus on translation into practical use. The international associate editors will have the freedom to operate within the journal administration to allow both mainstream and non-mainstream original and novel research to be reviewed and accepted.
