Biography
Prof. Ramadan graduated from Ain Shams University in 1974 and completed his Ph.D. degree in 1985 at the same university. From 1985 to 1990, he worked at the Chemistry Department, Ain Shams University as a lecturer of inorganic and organometallic chemistry and associate professor until 1999 where he became a full professor. His research interests are focused on the synthesis and reactivity of complexes of groups VI and VIII metal carbonyls as well as other transition metals such as Ni, Rh, Pd, Pt, and Au with some molecularly designed nitrogen and oxygen donor ligands. Applications of these derivatives as catalysts and models in biological environments are desired.
