Psychoneuroimmunology Journal is a peer-reviewed science-based journal focusing on integrated neuroimmune activities in health and disease.
Our aims are broad and incorporate all forms of scientific study in the field of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI). We are particularly keen on novel mechanisms that connect the nervous and the immune systems into an integrated suprasystem which impacts health and disease.
Our scope includes:
- PNI mechanisms for diseases in the periphery and the central nervous system
- Genetic and molecular mechanisms of neuroimmune communication
- Treatments of disorders and diseases based on PNI mechanisms
- Therapeutic approaches with holistic mind-body perspectives
- Immunomodulation of neural functions and structure
- Neuromodulation of immune functions
- Translation of PNI research into clinical practices
The journal is particularly pleased to receive submissions of work, which are both early stage and innovative and where disease mechanisms in unexpected neural or immunological components are explored. We are happy to receive original articles as well as short reviews and commentaries in these categories with particular emphases on theoretical novelty or translational significance. The international associate editors in the PNI community will have the freedom to operate within the journal administration to allow both mainstream and non-mainstream original and novel research to be reviewed and accepted.
