Biography
Prof. Ulrich L. M. Eisel got his Ph.D. from Gießen University, Germany, in 1989, and started working as postdoc at Gießen University and BFAV, Tübingen, Germany, in the same year. In 1990-1993 he was a visiting associate at the NIMH, NIH, Bethesda, MD, USA. In 1993, he becomes a lecturer at the Institute of Cell Biology & Immunology, University of Stuttgart, Germany. In 2003, Prof. Eisel started serving as assistant/associate professor at the Department of Molecular Neurobiology, University of Groningen, Netherlands. He is now professor of molecular neurobiology and neuroimmunology, Department of Molecular Neurobiology, Groningen Institute of Evolutionary Life Science (GELIFES), Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Groningen, Netherlands.
Prof. Eisel also is a member of the Editorial Board of other 5 journals, including Journal of Alzheimer's Disease, Neuroscience Research Letters and Mediators of Inflammation. Prof. Eisel has been granted the Boehringer Ingelheim Fellowship in 1990.
