Zhiyou Du got his Ph.D. in Microbiology, in 2006, from Zhejiang University, China. He was a Marie Curie Research Fellow at University of Cambridge, UK, from 2009 through 2011, and worked as research associate at University of Maryland, College Park, US, from 2015 through 2017, and now he is a professor at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, China, at which he is working since 2017. His group is interested in the research on viral and subviral replication, which include determination of RNA structures and their interaction with host or viral factors. Additionally, they are also working on the intrinsic basis of plant viral pathogenicity, including characterization of plant virus-encoded RNA silencing suppressors and their interaction with host factors.
